FAQs

What should I put my dirty laundry in?
Glad tall kitchen trash bags work best, or any kind of cinchable bag, but make sure each bag is closed properly so nothing falls out during transport.

If at all possible, separately bag any stained items or items that need special care with instructions attached to the bag for our launderer.

Unfortunately, we are not able to accept items not bagged, laundry baskets or laundry hampers.

When our driver arrives for pick up and you leave loose items, baskets or hampers outside for us to pick up, our driver will need to transfer these items on-site and there will be a $10.00 fee for this service.

Don’t worry about labeling or tagging your bags our driver will do that for you!
Do I need to sort my items, such as dark from lights and whites?
Leave the color sorting to us for an effortless laundry experience!

We also remove machine-washable delicates and place them in a mesh laundry bag for extra protection.

Any items not suitable for machine washing, like hand-washables or dry clean only pieces (indicated by the cleaning symbol), will be returned to you unlaundered.

But please double check your pockets! Splash & Dash Laundry is not responsible for items damaged by things left in pockets (chapstick, lipstick, gum, pens, crayons, markers, etc.).
Where should my order be picked up or delivered?
Choose a convenient and accessible pick-up/drop-off spot where you feel comfortable leaving your items.

Customers often choose their front door, porch, or another secure area for both safety and easy access.

Whenever possible, select a location protected from the elements.

Please note that our drivers cannot enter private spaces like residences, cars, or garages.
Do I need to be at home for pickup or delivery?
You don’t need to be at home for pickup or delivery!

Just leave clear instructions in your online account about where you’ll leave your laundry bags for pickup (front door, porch, secure area, etc.).
Is there a pickup or delivery charge?

While there are no pickup or delivery fees, our laundry service requires a $35.00 minimum order (excludes larger items; such as, comforters, pet beds, etc.).

When will my laundry be picked up or delivered?
We are open for business Monday through Saturday, and closed Sundays (excluding major holidays).

Our pickup window is from 8am to 12pm. Our normal delivery window will be the following day from 2pm to 6pm; however, Saturday pickups will be delivered on the following Monday unless it falls on a major holiday, in which case delivery will be the next business day.

Your bag(s) should be left outside your door by the start time of the pickup window. When we deliver, we will leave your bag(s) in the same spot.
Can I make a special request on how I want my laundry done?

Absolutely. When you place your order online there is a section where you can specify your preferences.

How often can I change or update my profile or laundry preferences?
As often as you like.

Some of our customers tweak their profile prior to every pickup because they have special instructions for us.

Other customers set up their preferences when creating their account and then rarely change them.
Can you do stain removal?
We do basic stain removal.

Please place all stained clothing in a separate bag and leave a note either in the bag or on your laundry profile. It is very useful to know the exact source of each stain, since the best treatment will vary by the type of stain and the fabric type.

While we’re usually successful at removing a fresh stain, we can’t guarantee we’ll be able to get it out. Please note that it’s more difficult to remove stains that are older and have “set” or have been “baked” into the fabric from drying with heat. However, if you let us know about a stain, we’ll do our best to remove it.

If you can pretreat any stains before putting the garment in the bag, it will increase the odds of success.
How are my whites washed?
We wash all whites with a detergent of your choice plus OxiClean White Revive Laundry Whitener Liquid (Scented) to help brighten and remove light stains.

If  you prefer a different whitening agent or a detergent that we don’t offer, please provide your preferred product securely labeled with your name. We’ll return your provided product along with your freshly cleaned laundry.
